Gaming since an NES in the 80s, mostly on PC now with modern consoles still in the rotation. FPS, narrative, RPG, survival sandboxes, simulation, co-op, roguelite. Streaming grew out of that rather than the other way round: largely the same games I would be playing anyway, three nights most weeks, with the difference that there are people in the room.
A VJ is to video roughly what a DJ is to records: mixed live, beatmatched to the music. Over 25 years of it, starting in the late 90s on dual VHS decks and a cheap wedding video mixer. Now it's Resolume with feeds through a Roland V-1HD: seamless loops, found footage, and generative material. The style blurs seamless and chaotic.
